I've had such a fabulous weekend; I went to Camden for the day with some friends, and despite the awful weather, it turned out to be a really fun day. Once we got home, we set about making marshmallows, which turned into the most delicious disaster!
We followed the 'Proper Tasty' recipe from facebook, which worked really well. We had to judge the caramel by eye as we didnt have a candy thermometer, but thanks to a bakeoff addiction we managed to judge it quite well. It did turn out to be a fairly easy recipe to follow, but I doubt we're up to Mary Berry standard quite yet.

These are not vegetarian friendly, due to using gelatine. Substitute this for a vegetarian alternative

This recipe is not quick, or clean! Cocoa powder everywhere, and everything was sticky; if you have a toddler or dog, proceed with caution (or drink the baileys until it no longer matters!) 

The final product was surprisingly nice, we thought we would have made a complete mess of it. They were too sweet to eat on their own, but we had them in hot chocolate and they were perfect.
