Love Me Beauty

Firstly, apologies for such a long gap in posts, I've been taking a break to concentrate on my studies as deadlines are looming (I haven't started stress crying yet though, so that's a positive), but when I recieved my "Love Me Beauty" package in the post, I was too excited not to share...

Using NAKED for my three favourite looks

I have been a massive fan of the Naked palette since I got it a few months ago. I love the range of neutrals, there are so many palettes in my makeup bag that go unused due to the fact they have one or two great everyday colours, and the rest are so unsuitable; bright blues, very yellow ochres and acid greens - colours that work for 90's themed nights out but not for everyday pale girls. So here are my three favourite looks using the Naked 1 palette.

Christmas Wish List...

I'm sat here drinking peppermint hot chocolate, listening to fireworks going off outside, feeling very warm and starting to feel very christmassy.Winter will always be my favourite time of the year; big jumpers, hats, Christmas movies and snow (not much chance of that in London, but I'm sure Cheshire will pull through for me!). I'm definitely one of those people who spends the whole of October building up to Hallowe'en, and the whole of November and December building up to Christmas. So, I got a bit excited and started writing my wishlist...

Who says Vanilla is boring?

I am currently in love with Barry M nail varnishes; I love the range of colours, an endlessly diverse array of finishes, and at £3.99 for 10ml they are scrumptiously purse friendly too.
I picked up the "Vanilla" and "Mocha" on Saturday, both from Boots. I must admit I was tempted by the names firstly, and secondly by the fact that I've been on the hunt for a good nude colour for ages...

Goodbye Summer

This summer has been a funny one; I've been working full-time as a receptionist, as well as working as a waitress in a local pub, trying to save up for university. I've been to see friends in Cardiff, been on holiday to Cornwall, and had day trips out here and there. It's absolutely flown by... It felt like the longest summer until it was suddenly over - I woke up on September 1st and it was instantly autumn. The sun was low in the sky, frost was on the ground and the nights are certainly drawing in.

Dealing with my worst ever acne breakout

I have always had very pale, sensitive skin, and have always struggled with it... Its been too dry, too red, I've had acne, freckles, flaking, every skin care problem really. Its never been horrendous, until I woke up after a trip to Cardiff - my skin had became red, sore and acne ridden literally over night. While I'd always had bad skin, it had never been this bad. Time to take action.

The life of a university drop-out...

During the last year at university I have been very unhappy; unhappy with my course, with the town, with everything really. I made the decision to drop-out at the start of the Christmas holidays, and although I am so much happier, it was also one of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make...
